This past weekend, Sam and I went to support her friend Alex in the Talent Nation talent competition downtown at the Opera House on Queen Street. All of the performers were phenomenal and incredibly talented. I dressed Sam up vintage style and I am obsessed with her outfit.
I had such a fun time. The experience made me feel grown up but at the same time that my youth would last forever. I've forgotten how music has a huge impact on my life, even if I only ever listen to it through my ear buds.
Fashion wise, everyone's outfits were gorgeous and the shoes! Oh my God! The Shoes! So many beautiful shoes! Sadly we couldn't catch the second half of the performances.
On the way back, on the street car, I was awed by the patient and friendly driver who was keeping up a conversation with a troubled homeless man. Although I would never give more than a glance in his direction (because I would be scared shitless), I appreciate that there are people who are not afraid to go with the flow of things, make someone's day or just be a good person.
